Whilst researching a piece for the shop I stumbled across this picture of one of my favorite vintage wearing girls - uber designer & stylist - Rachel Zoe. In it she wears a vintage Halston cashmere sweater dress as a long jacket rather then the dress it was originally intended to be worn as. It is a brilliant way to style a piece that for some girls is a tough silhouette to wear on its own. I do this same trick all the time. All you need is a maxi dress that fully unbuttons and has a decent enough weight to it that it falls right if left unbuttoned. You instantly get two looks for one piece! It is also great for traveling - coat by day and then it can go back to being a full length dress for evening with a change of heels and worn on its own.
