In another two months the anniversary of Marilyn's Monroe's death will be the subject of many tributes and mentions. Many of you will be reminded of her accomplishments and for some it may be an introduction to her and you just might become a fan. I prefer to celebrate the day she was born rather then the day she died. She would be 86 years old today and I like to think that had she made it through to now, she might have realized that it is all not so bad after all.
Here's to you Marilyn, I raise a glass of champagne and send thoughts of sewn on dresses, glamour & peace your way.
Long may you reside in our hearts.
Thank you for sharing this, Cherie! You inspired me to share what I have been reading about her childhood on my own blog. What an amazing woman she was; she survived a difficult childhood, then took care of the people later in life who took less than stellar care of her.
ReplyDeleteyou are so welcome!! She did leave a legacy! I will check out your post too!!
